Digital Avatars is a 3 part series of digital portraits exploring the evolving boundaries of identity. At the intersection of the physical and the digital, this project blends human anatomy with technological elements through creative collaborations with models and artists. It serves as an experimental space to redefine the body within a virtual landscape.

JEAN LOUIS

JEAN LOUIS was my first exploration into the concept of the hybrid avatar. As an homage to the work of Hajime Sorayama, I designed heavily chromed body parts with a unique twist of transparency. The goal was to create a translucent effect, as if catching a glimpse of the internal structures through the flesh, blurring the line between biological and mechanical.

YASSIN

YASSIN is the second iteration of this concept, where I wanted to explore robotic sensuality by showing how light interacts with the flesh. By using transparency to reveal internal mechanical parts, I blended a 'kinky' aesthetic with the idea of a futuristic playmate. It’s a study in hybrid desire. merging the warmth of organic skin with the coldness of the machine.

NICOLAS

FORMICHETTI

NICOLAS concludes the series by exploring the idea of a synthetic soul. I treated the skin with a high-gloss, liquid finish to strip away its biological origins, making the avatar feel entirely digital. This aesthetic represents the final stage of the project: the point where the human form is fully redefined by the cold, flawless surface of the machine.
